Astute in recognizing industry changes since its launch in 2009, JOTO PR’s team utilizes newly established patterns to create timely Anti-PR campaigns comprising both traditional and the latest proven media methods.

The Anti-PR Internal Marketing Director plays a pivotal role in unifying our marketing efforts, creating strategy, guiding agencies, and managing and mentoring internal marketing staff. Your main role, under the guidance of the fractional CMO, is to lead marketing campaign strategies that drive qualified leads. You will be a marketing leader with the ability to review campaign performance, recommend changes to improve performance, and implement those changes yourself, with agencies, and by guiding and managing our internal marketing staff.

This position requires B2B marketing experience with 7-10 years of marketing leadership and strategy experience doing multi-channel marketing. Marketing experience must include the ability to measure results and recommend improvements for campaigns running across:

Social media (organic and paid)
  • Paid Search
  • Email Newsletters
  • Cold email outreach
  • Website optimization and performance
  • Copywriting and messaging
  • Campaign planning, execution and management - SEO content creation and optimization
  • Marketing KPI measurement and reporting on results for what’s working, what’s not, why, and how to fix it.
The ideal candidate will be a strong marketing leader who wants to be a “player coach”, meaning they can mentor and manage internal marketing staff as well as agencies, but they also want to roll up their sleeves and do the work to create campaigns, optimize results, write copy, create webpages, etc.

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (Monday – Friday)

Responsibilities:
The Anti-PR Internal Marketing Director is instrumental in ensuring the seamless execution of our marketing initiatives, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency across all channels.

This position is a “player coach” who is responsible for reporting on the success of our marketing programs, identifying how we improve, coaching internal staff and agencies to meet our lead goals, and taking a hands-on role to do project work to meet our goals.

These marketing programs include:
Email Marketing Oversight:
  • Review and approve weekly email agency results, meticulously ensuring alignment with our brand's unique tone and positioning.
  • Lead bi-weekly meetings with the email agency to evaluate content performance, discuss trends, and collaboratively plan thematic approaches for upcoming Campaigns.
SEO Coordination:
  • Collaborate weekly with the SEO agency to execute and align SEO strategy with content plans, fostering a seamless integration across all marketing channels.
  • Facilitate continuous communication between SEO, email, and social media agencies to maintain cohesive content strategies and optimize search engine performance.
SEO Strategy & Implementation:
  • Collaborate on strategic website updates to align with SEO goals, encompassing tasks such as adding metadata, expanding existing pages, and creating new webpages or blogs. Ensure these efforts capture targeted SEO traffic as outlined in our SEO strategy meetings.
  • Craft persuasive copy and SEO metadata to optimize the website, focusing on our coveted SEO keywords. This includes a meticulous approach to enhance traffic and visibility.
  • Provide detailed weekly reports on SEO keyword ranking results, comparing performance to the previous week. Evaluate the effectiveness of our strategies on top-ranking pages and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Dive into Google Search Console data, working closely with the SEO agency to analyze first-page trends for our essential keywords. Proactively manage undesirable keywords by de-indexing relevant pages and submitting suppression requests through Google Search Console.
Paid Advertising Management:
  • Coordinate bi-weekly with the Google Ads agency to review performance metrics, strategize improvements, and create necessary content.
  • Work closely with the CMO to ensure campaign messaging aligns with broader marketing goals, maximizing ad performance and ROI.
Social Media Strategy and Approval:
  • Approve social media posts, conduct regular reviews of impressions and engagement to refine the overall social media strategy.
  • Collaborate with the social media agency and CMO to make data-driven adjustments to strategies and capitalize on successful content approaches.
Cold Outbound Email and Audience Targeting:
  • Review and approve cold outbound email copy and audience targeting in collaboration with the CMO.
  • Ensure seamless alignment of cold sales emails with broader marketing strategies, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand narrative.
Comprehensive Reporting:
  • Conduct weekly reporting on lead source data, marketing leads, and performance metrics, offering actionable insights.
  • Provide detailed data to consulting agencies for performance evaluation, facilitating continuous improvement and refinement of marketing efforts.
Sales Coordination and Insight:
  • Actively participate in bi-weekly sales coordination meetings, offering valuable insights on lead quality, upcoming campaigns, and progress.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to refine marketing strategies based on real-time feedback, ensuring a harmonious alignment of sales and marketing efforts.
Podcast and Webinar Coordination:
  • Conduct podcast intro calls post-training, with a goal of identifying 10 impactful individuals each month for potential interviews on the podcast.
  • Take charge of curating and moderating a compelling podcast topic each month, enriching our diverse content portfolio.
  • Lead webinar intro calls (3 per month). Selecting engaging topics for 30-minute on-demand webinars that you or the CEO will moderate.
Content Creation and Moderation:
  • Lead podcast intro calls and webinars, contributing to content creation and expertly moderating discussions to enhance engagement.
  • Craft compelling copy for landing pages, webpages, emails, blogs, and other marketing collateral, ensuring consistency in messaging and brand representation.
  • Drive content creation by generating blog and social media graphics using tools like Canva. Ensuring the visual elements align seamlessly with our brand identity, creating a consistent and appealing online presence.
Website Management:
  • Ensure the website effectively showcases JOTO services and accurately represents our top industries.
  • Collaborate with the webmaster for site health and speed improvements, addressing SEO and marketing strategy requirements promptly.
Creative Contribution:
  • Proactively bring creative ideas for campaigns and engagement strategies, particularly during slower periods, fostering innovation and sustained audience interest.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement creative initiatives that not only engage our audience but also contribute to lead generation and brand growth.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional analytics experience and ability to measure a campaign or marketing program’s effectiveness, and make recommendations for improvements based on the data
  • Strong leader: can keep agencies and internal staff motivated and focused on lead generation goals.
  • Hubspot experience: Can use hubspot to report on marketing’s impact, and understands how the system works with the website for lead capture, as well as how workflow automations work.
  • Exceptional Writing Abilities: Proficient in crafting compelling content for various purposes, including marketing copy, webpages, email promotions, newsletters, and blog posts.
  • SEO Expertise: Understanding of keywords, proficiency in updating metadata, and the ability to add image alt text for effective search engine optimization.
  • Design Proficiency: Skilled in using tools like Canva or similar platforms to create visually appealing blog and social media images, maintaining brand consistency.
  • Paid Advertising Mastery: Experience with Google Ads and LinkedIn ads, with an understanding of ROAS (Return on Advertising Spend) and crafting effective campaign messaging for qualified lead generation.
  • Audience-Based Marketing: Proficient in tailoring messaging for different industries, ensuring resonance with diverse target audiences.
  • Cold Sales Expertise: Proficient in outbound email strategies with a deep understanding of the distinctions between marketing and cold sales emails.
  • PR Acumen: Familiarity with PR principles, preferably from agency experience.
  • Project Management: Organizational skills for aligning  agencies and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Webinar & Podcast Experience: Proficient in recording software, live interviewing, and moderation.
  • Strategic Decision-Making: Ability to navigate decisions efficiently.
  • Creativity: Innovative thinker for engaging campaigns, especially during slower periods.
  • Organic Social Media Understanding: Familiarity with effective organic social media strategies.
